For almost 50 years, our family ran a small bag store in the United States. To us, it was more than a place to earn a living. It was years of work, familiar faces, and the simple pride of opening the door each morning to something we had built together.
Then came the break-in. Our display window was shattered, and we had to close the store. The damage could be seen from the street. What could not be seen was everything that closing meant to the family behind that door.
When a family shop closes, you cannot measure the loss in broken glass alone. There is the work that came before it, the people who kept it going, and the future they hoped to build. For us, reopening means finding a way to carry all of that forward.
Today, many small businesses across the United States are facing rising costs and uncertainty. Against that backdrop, rebuilding a family store can feel daunting. But we still believe there is a place for independent shops, for personal service, and for people who care about the story behind what they choose.
This collection is our way of working toward a new beginning. The profit from each order goes to our family as we work toward reopening. Every order is a practical step forward, and a reminder that the work of almost half a century still matters.
We cannot change the night our window was broken. We can keep working toward the day our door opens again. Almost 50 years brought us here. We are not ready for a broken window to be the final chapter.
